Customer Stories - Nicole
As a clothing designer, there's nothing more fulfilling than seeing the joy my creations bring to people. I am constantly humbled when I receive lovely images from my customers.
Sometimes, as the business is busy I forget to stop and take everything in and then I receive a photo or an email from someone thanking me for the clothes and it really is a pinch me moment every time.
Each photo, each smile, each message of appreciation is a testament to the comfort and confidence that my designs aim to provide.
Clothes That Make You Feel Good
Clothing is more than just fabric stitched together; it's an expression of individuality, a source of comfort, and a confidence booster. When I see customers radiating happiness in their new outfits, it reinforces my passion for creating clothes that make people feel good. Your photos tell stories of how my designs have become part of your daily lives, special occasions, and cherished moments.
I recently shared a post on Instagram about an email my lovely customer called Nicole sent me. When I asked what she worked as she explained that she worked in the Hair and make up Dept for the book adaptation of Hamnet. I immediately started listening to it on Audio as I was sewing her custom styles. (FYI - it is very good.)
We got chatting and she sent me this email. It really touched me and with her permission I am sharing with you too.
"When I’m healthy enough I work but for the last 6 years I’ve been dealing with a rare and annoying ovarian cancer (that keeps coming back) and she wrote something that really annoyed me.
Your tops have been a real blessing for me… multiple surgeries, the surgical menopause and everything it brings doesn’t seem to fit with the staples I once enjoyed wearing but finding your label, my dear friend Claire (Cloot) making me some pieces, Lucy and Yak embracing the shirred waistband and some (sub-par)attempts to make my own stuff have helped me feel a bit more stylish and comfortable while pretending I’m “fine” in the competitive world of film making.
This current project is a beautifully human gathering though. It’s almost all women in the head roles and the subject matter and methodology is full of compassion and love. My first job back after another surgery and it’s feeling like a special one for many reasons.
Your feedback, your smiles, and your stories are my greatest sources of inspiration. They remind me why I started this journey and why I continue to pour my energy into every stitch.
Each photo and email or DM you share makes me feel privileged to be a part of your lives and to contribute to your happiness.
Thank you for letting me see the joy my clothes bring to you. Your happiness is my happiness, and your comfort and confidence are my ultimate goals. Keep those pictures coming, and keep shining in your beautiful, custom-made outfits.
Together, we'll continue to create a community that is truly comfortable and feeling their best!
